Another report reveals that Samsung is working on a gigantic tablet with an 18.4-inch display that will run on Google’s Android operating system.
Samsung, the world’s number one smartphone producer, has launched different devices this year, including the recently reported Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Not long ago, the Korea-based company had also released the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge leading smartphones. Apart from smartphones, Samsung had equally revealed a range of tablets, including the recent Galaxy Tab S 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S 9.7 in July, though they are yet to go on sale and will be available for the public to buy in September.
Presently, another report from SamMobile claims that Samsung is currently building an 18.4-inch tablet, which will be destined for use in living rooms, schools, waiting rooms, and so on. SamMobile has also given the model number and details of Samsung’s future massive tablet.
As specified in the report, Samsung’s new tablet is internally code-named Tahoe and has the model name SM-T760. Measuring 451.8 x 275.8 x 11.9mm, the Samsung Tahoe will feature an 18.4-inch TFT LCD display with a 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution. Samsung’s tablet will be powered by its home developed Exynos 7580 64-bit octa-core processor arranged at 1.6 GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM.
The Samsung Tahoe tablet will offer 32GB of internal memory, which will be expandable up to 128GB thru a micro SD card slot. Samsung’s upcoming tablet will also have a 8-megapixel back camera alongside with a 2.1-megapixel front camera and a gigantic 5700 mAh battery, that is likely to keep running on Google’s Android operating system.
The report does not give any insights about the price or release date of Samsung’s 18.4-inch Android tablet, but more rumors are expected to surface over the coming days. Stay tuned.
