Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney was on his way to being one of the most exciting defensive players in the NFL, but an injury suffered during Week 1 of the 2014 NFL season might slow him down for the time being.
“Jadeveon Clowney headed to the locker room early limping. He was angry about something during the Texans’ season opener against the Washington Redskins. Still, the future was bright for Clowney. As soon as he was able to return to action, he was certain to wreak havoc on opposing offenses”.
If nobody in the NFL had said it, you probably wouldn’t have noticed the absence of Houston Texans rookie Jadeveon Clowney who returned back to action for the team’s 23-7 win over the Cleveland Browns.
He didn’t have an awful game by any means with two tackles, including one for a loss, but his outcome wasn’t closely felt on the field according to some NFL fans who watched the last game. It could be as a result of his well -known defensive mate J.J. Watt over-powering on both sides of the field.
According to the statement from the NFL star Jadeveon Clowney, “I felt extraordinary. I moved around like I needed to,” Clowney told the Houston Chronicle. “I could have been better, but I felt greater than I did in the game against Tennessee. I have a lot more confident and trust in my knee.”
While, individually Jadeveon Clowney was not in control of the defensive line, he was part of a defensive back that held three Browns running backs to only 58 yards on 24 carries.
His one tackle for a loss resulted in a loss of nine yards by former NFL team mate Texan Ben Tate.
Jadeveon Clowney came back from a knee injury he suffered in Week 1 NFL game against the Washington Redskins to face the Tennessee Titans in Week 8, and then he sat in Week 9 as the Texans played with the Philadelphia Eagles because of an illness.
